Its been a Great Day!

Today Maddox has officially reached the double digit mark. He is 10 weeks old today. It is hard for us to believe that so much time has passed. He is doing just great. Last night he even slept for a 7 hour stretch! It was glorious! Maddox started Mothers day out last week for one day a week for three hours. We were blessed enough to get into UCCs Weekday School and so we jumped on the opportunity. This will assure him a spot in the coming years to attend a wonderful school as I go back to work. Last week was harder on me than it was on him to leave him. He did great and even got to take a ride in the bye bye buggy. It seats six little ones and they take them outside for a little ride each morning. It is the cutest site to see. Maddox has two teachers and one of them is my grandmothers age. She is so loving and sweet with the little ones. She takes a ton of pictures everyday and today she gave us a pic of them on there ride last week. I will brag on my son for one quick second and say that they told me he was the only one who didn't cry while they were on it. That's our little man...always up for a new adventure! On meet the teacher day I was so pleasantly surprised to see an old friend holding her sweet baby girl in our classroom. Brooke is from Ft. Worth and also went to Tech. We ran into each other when we were both pregnant but had not seen each other since we had our little ones. It was such a treat to see that her little girl Rowan would be in the same class as Maddox. We went for coffee today after we dropped them off at school and it was the highlight of my week. I don't have many friend in Ft. Worth who have kids so it was nice to sit and chat with another mom. WE did do a lot of talking about our kids but also just caught up with each other. I am really looking forward to more chats, play dates and fun to come with Brooke and Rowan. As today is wrapping up and my sweet little man is fast asleep I am unwinding with a smile on my face. Today is a great day...We have a healthy and happy 10 week old amazing baby, I got to spend some time with an old friend, Greg got some great news at work today and life is just wonderful.
So...here is the pic of the Bye-Bye Buggy. Maddox is in the back and Rowan is right in front of him!

Its Fun For Friends to meet your Kiddo!

I had a suprise run in with a friend from Ft. Worth who I also went to College with at Tech on Friday night at Glorias in Dallas. It was great to see Meagan and spend a few minutes catching up. The most fun was introducing her to Maddox. It made me realize how proud I am to show him off and I cant wait for more of my friends to meet him.

1 Down...Forever to go!

SO I am one week late on my posts but I wanted to acknowledge that the second best day of my life to date was a year ago last Monday. The day I married my best friend. Greg and I were laying on the beach in Antigua this time last year celebrating on our honeymoon. It has been an exciting year so far. We have had so much fun being married and have welcomed the best gift that a marriage can bring having welcomed Maddox into our world. Greg had a wonderful evening planned with dinner reservations, cocktails and fun....then we were offered tickets to the cowboys game and being the huge sports fans that we are it made perfect sense to celebrate our special day together at the game with Kris & Dwaine. I am blessed beyond words with my amazing husband and with the future that we have together. I look forward to many years ahead!

2 months and 4 shots later...its a blessed and rough day!

Today was a big day for the tiniest Mr. Nurse. He turned 2 months old. This milestone is celebrated with an exciting day at the Dr. office and capped off with 4 shots and one oral immunization. I have to say the look on his face when he got the shots broke my heart. He shrieked and then held his breath for a little too long for comfort and then took it like a man and didn't cry too long....until we got home and it has been a really rough day for the little guy. He has struggled a little bit today. He took a three hour nap in my arms for the first time since he was about 3-4 weeks old and although I hate he had to do that b/c he was in pain it was the highlight of my day. It brought back some real sweet moments that we shared in his earliest days. I do have to admit if he is gonna do that again I need to work on some upper body strength because he much bigger than he was at three weeks. Speaking of weight he tipped the scale today at 11lbs 13.5oz. (he gained over two pounds this month) and measured in at 22 and 1/2 inches. Here are a few fun shots from this week. Not real great picture quality b/c they are all taken with my phone but they are too cute none the less. Its hard to believe 2 months have passed...time flies when your having fun! Cheers to many more amazing months to come.

This is Maddox waiting for Dr. Murphy to come in and check him out!
Flexing for the camera!

Mommy's morning smiles...melts my heart and makes my day!
